    The Yerba Buena Hospitality Group is committed to profitable projects focused on professional service and equitable access for women and people of color, especially in finer dining and hospitality industries.

     

    YBHG is focused on sustainability without sacrificing luxury, outstanding service, and professionalism in the restaurant and hospitality industries.

     

    Inspired by and established in northern California, our focus is to builld a consistent and outstanding brand and service that is welcoming, enjoyable, and results in a positive experience for our clients and guests.

     

    We also work with rising and established chefs who are under-represented in the finer dining industry, specifically, Black and/or female chefs who are looking to elevate their brands. Our inspirations are varied, but are a direct line from the African American chefs who refined and defined much of the early culinary heritage of the United States and the Americas.

    Yasuke

    Yasuke was Japan's most storied and famous African samurai during the Sengoku period. Taken from Mozambique into the service of a Portuguese missionary, he was hired by feudal lord Oda Nobunaga into his army in a high ranking honorable position. Yasuke Izakaya serves creative Nikkei and Mozambican Japanese food.
